WATER BOTTLES

Please use the drop bins on the 10K course to make our volunteers lives a little easier.  At The SPA there will be recycling bins – the water bottles are made from recycled plastic and can be either reused or recycled. Please empty the bottle of water and drop it in the recycling bin. Please don’t drop any litter – we just have to pick it up.

PARKING

There is no parking at The SPA for runners. There is plenty of parking available in the surrounding area.

RUBBISH

Please dont drop litter even when running the race.  The race is against the backdrop of the ocean and non of us want litter blowing into the sea.  In 2019 our volunteers collected over 300 gel wrappers from the seafront after the race - not a great advert for runners and does not help when I come to apply for the following years Event Licence. 

Please use the bins we have at the water stop, Race HQ and along the route to drop litter - many thanks.

10K COURSE and FINISH

The course is marked every kilometer. We have a water stop between 4 and 5km. The 10K race cut off time is 90 minutes to allow for the Fun Runs to start. If you expect to run close to 90mins then please join the rear of the first wave & watch out for the Fun Runs being started at 11:30 and move to the pavement as they pass.

The start will be in waves to avoid congestion. If you are likely to win then be in the first wave as 1st 3 M+F will be gun timiming. For everyone else we are using chip timing so don’t worry about it.

We will have first aid at Race HQ and along the course. If you need assistance get the attention of a marshal.

We will have a chase vehicle for anyone struggling on the day.

We will have pacers for various times subject to volunteer numbers.

All the people you see helping and marshalling are volunteers. The event could not be run without them.

Please adhere to any instructions given and give them a ‘thankyou’ along the way.

PRIZE GIVING

We will present the first 3 male and female awards on the SPA Balcony after the race. 

All other prize winners will receive their prizes by post.
